To the Editor:

I want to write in support of the current education budget. I believe, as a parent and a resident, it is paramount that everyone supports the education budget. I understand the figure amount of the budget seems inflated. However, this is an investment into our children — not some piece of equipment that will diminish in value or a road that will crumble. This is an incalculable service to our future. Our children deserve the best we as a community can offer. Anything less than the most we can do would a terrible disservice.

To those without children who will utilize the education system, please see the economic benefit. Quality schools attract people and businesses to our community. So support of this education budget doesn’t just cater to a few in our community, but the whole community. Please support the education budget as it stands.
