‘Heart Beats’ Meets March 8

BRIDGEPORT — Dr Maria S. Guoth will be the speaker at the March 8 meeting of Heart Beats, Bridgeport Hospital’s cardiac patient support group. Her topic will be “The Relationship between Diabetes and Heart Disease.” The free meeting begins at 7:30 pm in the hospital cafeteria.

Dr Guoth received her medical degree from Semmelweis University School of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary. She completed her residency at Laguria Hospital, a division of Cornell University School of Medicine, and a fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Heart Beats was established in 1981 by former cardiac patients to educate new patients and lend financial support to the Heart Center at Bridgeport Hospital. For information call 203/384-3841 or 203/372-3032.
