Shirley Cartisano
Loved Life And Family
Shirley (Corcoran) Cartisano, 74, of Monroe, died February 22. She was born in DuPont, Penn.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 56 years, Anthony Cartisano; and five children, including Marc and his wife, Jean, of Newtown; nine grandchildren; a brother; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs Cartisano graduated Student of the Year from Connecticut Business School in May 1987, after which she worked as an administrative assistant. She loved bowling, enjoyed various crafts and flower arranging, and also enjoyed playing the piano and singing.
She was always proud of all of her children and grandchildren. Her zest for life, care and concern for family and friends, joy in accomplishments large and small, contagious laugh, and breaded veal cutlets will be missed by all who knew her.
The viewing will be noon to 3 pm with the funeral services immediately following at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, Saturday, February 28.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York NY 10016.Â
