The subject of the March 1 Bible Lesson-Sermon will be “Christ Jesus.” Golden Text – I John 5:20 (“…we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ.”) Wednesdays from 7:30–8:30 pm there are readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, followed by testimonies of healing through prayer. This interdenominational Christian church meets Sundays, 10:30 am–12:30 am, for morning worship, with fellowship immediately following the service. Additional programs and services include: The Lion of Judah Reach Out Ministry, which helps men and women and teens transition from prison life to society; shelter for battered and abused women; housing for ex-offenders and battered women. Lion of Judah Reach Out Ministry also provides counseling and clothing for teens. A drill team for teens, including musical instruments, is also available for teens. Volunteers welcome. In celebration of Communion Sunday, The Reverend Ann Beams will present the morning message at the 10 am worship service on Sunday, March 1; the Scripture lessons will be Genesis 9:8–17 and Mark 1:9–15. Sunday school for elementary grade children starts at the end of the Children’s Sermon; middle and high school students start their class following the full sermon.
