River Run DUI

Police said they responded to a report of a disabled vehicle on River Run Road at about 4 pm on February 22. River Run Road is a dead-end street that extends from Turkey Hill Road.

Police said their investigation led them to arrest motorist Mary Bennett, 49, of Shelton on charges of driving under the influence and making a restricted turn.

After processing, police released Bennett on $100 bail for a March 8 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.

DUI Incident

Police said that while on patrol about 10:30 am February 22, they stopped motorist Kurt Nacewicz, 20, of 7 Yearling Lane for violating a traffic control signal at the intersection of Church Hill Road and Commerce Road.

After investigating, police said they charged Nacewicz with failure to obey a traffic control signal, driving under the influence, and possession of marijuana.

After processing, police released Nacewicz on $500 bail for a March 8 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
