Children Denied

To the Editor:

Recently the Board of Education denied full-time kindergarten. Most area towns and cities have full-time kindergarten, they receive the benefits our children are denied. It all starts at the beginning.

The Town of Newtown has spent millions of dollars on the high school, it’s time to go to the other end of the spectrum and spend money on the grade schools. Have you ever seen the movie Dave? We can make budget cuts elsewhere and save full-time kindergarten. It’s never too late. We will all feel good about ourselves in the end.
