How Does Microsoft’s

Latest System Work?

DANBURY — Windows 7 was released to manufacturing in July 2009. Many PC users skipped Windows Vista with its many well-publicized problems. While Windows 7 “fixes” many of those Vista problems, those fixes seem to have added to the challenges many of us felt then using Windows 7 for the first time.

At its next general meeting, on Tuesday March  1, Danbury Area Computer Society (DACS) will host a discussion concerning Microsoft Windows 7.

The public is invited to learn about Microsoft’s latest operating system. Learn how to customize the desktop, gadgets, and the start menu. What’s new in the taskbar and system tray? What is Aero Snap and Aero Peek? Where did everything move that you used to know in Windows XP?

The answers to these questions and plenty of others will be provided by DACS expert Richard Corzo.

DACS general meetings are free and open to the public. They are held in the auditorium of Danbury Hospital, 24 Hospital Avenue. Activities start at 6:30 pm with registration and casual networking. The meeting will begin at 7 with “Ask DACS,” an open Q&A session, followed by the main presentation at 8 o’clock.

Directions and additional information is available at DACS.org or by calling 203-748-4330.
