Moms Groups
Moms of Multiples next meet on Friday, March 18, at the Methodist Church Hall from 10 to 11 am. There is no charge for this group.
Parents Groups
Newtown Parent Connection â âAddiction in all Ages â And Its Consequencesâ will be the topic of the next Parent Connection forum on Wednesday, March 18. Peter M. Glassman, MD, PhD, will be the presenter. Visit the Parent Connection website at www.newtownparentconnection.org for further information.
Hope And Support Group â Parents with questions or concerns about their childâs possible or confirmed involvements with substances are invited to attend the Hope and Support Group. Meetings are Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm in the Parentsâ Corner. All are welcome.
Youth Programs
Super Sitters â The next session will run on Tuesdays, April 26, May 3, 10, 17 and 24, from 3:15 to 4:45 pm. Cost is $40, which includes all materials and snack. These classes tend to fill quickly so register soon!
HYSAB will meet on Monday, February 28, at 5:30 pm.
MYSAB will meet on Monday, February 28, in Room A-10 of Newtown Middle School. The meeting will run from 2:15 to 3:30 pm so members may take the late bus home, if needed. There will be a guest speaker and we will continue work on our project.
NYCAAP Aids Awareness group for high school students â Meets Wednesdays at 7:30 pm at NYS.
NO SUDS will meet Thursdays at NHS from 2 to 3 pm in Room A-111.
Children of Divorce â Grades 1 through 6 meets first and third Monday of the month. Next meetings are March 7 and 21 from 6 to 7:15 pm. This is an interactive group using tools such as games and art therapy. Call for further information.
SibShops â Grades 1 through 6. Usually meets the last Monday of the month from 5 to 7 pm. Meetings are ongoing through May. The next meeting will be February 28.
There is no fee for either Children of Divorce or SibShops.
