Dorothy (Cipollone) Marinaccio, 79, of Bethel, formerly of White Plains, N.Y., wife of Nicholas Marinaccio, died at Bethel Health Care Center on February 21.
In addition to her mother, Mary (Ferrera) Cipollone, Dorothy is survived by her husband, Nicholas Marinaccio, Sr, of the Lutheran Home of Southbury, Southbury; her son, Michael Marinaccio, and his wife, Mary, of Newtown; her daughter, Linda Gianguzzi, and her husband, David, of Palm Coast, Fla.; and her son, Nicholas Marinaccio, Jr, and his wife, Lisa, of Harrison, N.Y.; her granddaughter, Nicole Marinaccio of Harrison; a sister, Gloria Starito, and her husband, Michael, of Wantagh, N.Y.; her brother, Lawrence Cipollone, and his wife, Bea, of Farmingdale, N.Y.; and her sister-in-law, Gloria Marinaccio of Harrison, N.Y.; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dorothy was born in Jamaica, N.Y., on April 20, 1925, daughter of Mary (Ferrera) Cipollone and the late Dominick Cipollone. She grew up in New York and had been a resident of White Plains for 52 years, prior to moving to Connecticut. She was a homemaker, raising her three children. Dorothy was a devoted wife and loving mother. She will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St Maryâs Church in Bethel, on Friday, February 25, at 10 am.
Burial will follow in Mt Calvary Cemetery in White Plains, N.Y.
Calling hours were scheduled at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Health Care Rehabilitation Center, 13 Parklawn Drive, Bethel CT 06801.
Green Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
