Cancer Society Plans Final

Spring Ball

DANBURY — The American Cancer Society’s 13th and final spring charity event will be held on April 2 at the Amber Room Colonnade from 7 pm to midnight. This year’s event, the Star Dust Ball, will honor friends, memories, fun times, and good feelings.

The ball will include a cocktail hour, dinner, dancing throughout the evening featuring the music of the band Higher and Higher, a silent auction, and presentation of this year’s Angel Award.

This year marks the final year the society will be hosting the spring charity event, according to Katie Kendrick, area director of development. This years’ event will pay tribute to the accomplishments made over the last 12 years that the ball has been taking place, while looking ahead and realizing the potential the community has in making a difference in the fight against cancer.

“We are excited about the new direction the American Cancer Society is taking to reach communities and fundraising in Connecticut,” Ms Kendrick said.

For tickets, program advertising, sponsorship and further information about the American Cancer Society’s spring charity event, contact Deirdre St Jacques at the American Cancer Society office at 203-563-1509, or via email deirdre.st.jacques@cancer.org.
