Doris (Collins) Hartell

Doris (Collins) Hartell, 77, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Danbury, died February 17 at home. She was the mother of Joyce O’Neill of Newtown.

Born February 26, 1922, she was married to the late Andrew Spencer Hartell. She worked for many years as a registered nurse at Danbury Hospital and later at Middle Gate School, Newtown.

She is survived by her siblings, Francis Collins of Brookfield, Robert Collins of Ottawa, Canada and Cecelia Fowler, Mary Condon and Thomas Collins, all of Florida. She is also survived by another daughter, Judy Robbins of Glastonbury; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
