BETHEL - The work of Newtown photographer Kateleen Foy is currently being featured in "The Australian Coast," a photographic exhibition at Daily Fare Café in Bethel.

The collection presents photographs showing different areas of Australia's beautiful coastline, from the Tasman Sea coast and Phillip's Island to Sydney Harbor. "The Australian Coast" is on view weekdays through April 1.

A Newtown resident, Kateleen Foy graduated from Newtown High School in 2010 and then earned degrees in photography and psychology from Hofstra University.

She has always enjoyed travel photography, and says "learning about new cultures is invigorating for me." Ms Foy is currently involved in the Master's Program for Creative Arts Therapy at Pratt Institute. Through that program she plans to travel in March to the Dominican Republic on a social action trip to help an impoverished community.

"There we will learn and aid underprivileged children and families through the expressive arts," she said.

An open house reception for "The Australian Coast" will be hosted by Ms Foy on Saturday, February 27, from 5 to 8:30 pm, at the café, within Bethel train station, 13 Durant Avenue. Refreshments will be served.

The café is regularly open Monday through Friday from 6 am until 2 pm.

Housatonic Valley Cultural Alliance organized the exhibition's placement.

All photographs are available for purchase. Refreshments will be served.

For additional information contact Ms Foy at kateleenfoy@gmail.com, or Daily Fare at 203-743-7300 or dailyfare.net.
