Newtown Congregational Preschool Slates Silent Auction

Newtown Congregational Preschool’s Annual Silent Auction at the Stony Hill Inn in Bethel has been set for Friday, March 16.

The event will include more than 150 items to be auctioned off through the silent auction, a live auction, and raffles. The donated items came from personal donations, national contributions, regional contributions, and local businesses, such as Koenig Fameworks, Lathrop School of Dance, Trader Joe’s, The Ethan Allen Hotel, and Quassy Amusement Park.

Among the donations are museum tickets, theater tickets, signed sports memorabilia, toys, gift baskets, artwork, wine tastings, and numerous gift certificates. There are also several daytrip packages with tickets to attractions near Providence, R.I., Boston, New York City, central Massachusetts, and the White Mountains in New Hampshire.

The highlight of the evening, according to the preschool, will be the live auction, which will feature some of the “larger ticket items,” like four one-day park passes to Walt Disney World, a home security system, and two handmade quilts.

The evening is set to start at 7, and will include a buffet dinner and a cash bar. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Newtown Congregational Preschool. The ticket price for the event is $35 a person, and tickets will be available at the door of the event.
