Four Moving Violations

At about 11:15 pm on February 9, motorist Henry Erickson, 22, of 2 Kelly Court, who was driving a 1998 Acura coupe eastward on Button Shop Road, attempted to make a right turn onto southbound Little Brook Lane, but the vehicle went out of control and struck a tree on the east side of Little Brook Lane, police said.

Following the accident, Erickson was transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment of injuries, police have said.

Following their investigation into the crash, police said that they issued Erickson an infraction on charges of traveling too fast for conditions, failure to obey a stop sign, failure to wear a seatbelt, and failure to carry  a vehicle registration.

 

Queen/Church Hill

Police report that at about 1:01 pm on February 21, motorist John Voket, 50, of Waterbury was driving a 1996 Jeep Cherokee SUV northward on Queen Street behind northbound motorist Susan Jackson, 41, of 2 Possum Ridge Road, who was driving a 2004 Land Rover Discovery SUV.

Both vehicles then made proper left turns onto westbound Church Hill Road, but the Land Rover stopped for a pedestrian who was in a crosswalk on Church Hill Road, resulting in the Jeep striking the rear end of the Land Rover, police said.

There were no injuries. Police said they verbally warned Voket for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
