Vincent J. Budzinski, age 81, of Monroe, died on Monday, February 20, at his son’s home.

He is survived by his son, Glenn Budzinski and his wife, Colleen, of Sandy Hook; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr Budzinski was the husband of the late Josephine (Andrews) Budzinski. He was born in Bridgeport on August 10, 1924, a son of Josef and Eleanor Budzinski. He was a US Army veteran of World War II serving in the European and North Africa Theaters.

A resident of Monroe since 1960, Mr Budzinski had been a longtime employee of the maintenance department of the Town of Trumbull Public schools until his retirement.

Mr Budzinski was a member of Post #1466 Catholic War Veterans and the American Legion Post in Shelton.

Funeral services were February 23 from Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, and at St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Private interment will be in St Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.
