Ridgefield 50, Newtown 30 â The Newtown sixth grade travel team fell to the top ranked team in its division. Taylor Steimle led the home town team with 12 points while Eric Samuelson, Austin Bonadio and Kyle Wilcox had all around good games.
Newtown 65, Darien 62 â Playing its second game in the same day, and playing short-handed at that due to the winter break, Newtown still had its productive offensive game of the season while defeating Darien. Anthony Berarducci led four scorers in double figures with 18 points. Dan Gallagher had 17 points, Taylor Steimle had 12 and Kevin LeBlanc tossed in 10 in this up tempo game.

Junior Girls
Gaels 36, Celtics 33 â Meredith LaPerch (13 points) canned the game-winner at the foul line and Michelle Rahtelli iced it with two more foul shots as the Gaels slipped past the Celtics to finish in first place. Katie Foy played well on defense. For the Celtics, Hannah Basch-Gould and Casey Router popped in eight points apiece as Hannah DeFlumeri, Nicole Escoda and Emma Fiore (4 rebounds) played well.
Kids On The Court 29, Pacers 23 â Ali Pliszka scored 16 points and Sarah Ferris added seven more to lead the Kids to the win. Casey Kearns made four steals as Meaghan Wilson had a solid floor game. For the Pacers, Katie Hunt dropped in 13 points and Maggie Korth grabbed eight rebounds. Mara Scallon played well at the point.
Knicks 27, Bulls 26 â Rebecca Castegner and Deanna Tassinari scored six points apiece as the Knicks trimmed the Bulls. For the Bulls, Carolyn Fagan popped in 12 points as Kaley Krueger (four assists), Jenna Bonaccorso (five steals) and Erin Brown (five rebounds) had solid performances.
Huskies 39, Pacers 8 â Lisa Vendel, Kelly OâConnor, Victoria Picerno and Sara Pettinelli powered the offense as the Huskies rolled to the win. Audra Sarna, Shannon Zamary and Stephanie Suhoza paced the D. For the Pacers, Mara Scallon popped in four points while Sam Dinnan grabbed eight rebounds. Ashley Kuligowski played well.

Wildcats 50, Celtics 41 â John Fracker canned 15 points and Danny Clement added 13 more as the Wildcats stormed past the Celtics. Brad Biscoe had a good floor game. For the Celtics, Dan Greenwood popped in 11 points while Bryan Czel added 10 and Dana Hansen tossed in eight. Kyle Moore and Hank Helgren paced the D.
Wildcats 46, Hawkeyes 38 â John Fracker scored 14 points and Rockwell Anyoha added 12 to lead the âCats to the win. Brandon Body dished off three assists as Brian Reed and Nick Wolf played well. For the Hawkeyes, Tucker Schmidt scored 11 points while Michael Tenney made five steals and Bobby Mascher grabbed seven rebounds.
Bullets 54, Huskies 43 â Xhulio Halili scored 17 points and Matt Baier added 16 more to power the Bullets in their win over the Huskies. Ryan Korth was strong off the glass and Sam Kerr was solid on D. For the Huskies, Brandon Froderman canned 11 points and Kyle OâConnor added seven. John Wlasuk played well on defense.
Red Devils 31, Orangemen 30 â Dale Neves scored 13 points and Oliver Powers grabbed 10 rebounds as the Red Devils clipped the Orangemen. Nick Neves dished off five assists and Herlof Sorenson made three steals. For the Orange, Jeff Spencer canned seven points while Matt Dos Santos and Nick Dinelli had strong games.
Saints 64, Eagles 49 â The tandem of Phillips and Schmidt scored 14 points apiece to lead the Saints to the win. Zack Bryan dished off eight assists and Kevin McCarthy made eight steals as Michael Coates registered six blocks. For the Eagles, Max Paynter poured in 20 points while Trevor Todd added eight more. Michael Herring grabbed nine rebounds while Owen Swain (5 points, 5 rebounds) and Kyle McCarthy (4 points, 6 rebounds) had strong floor games.
Rockets 64, Jaspers 43 â Shane Wurtz scored 16 points while Max Brazo and Ben Mahony had 10 points apiece to power the Rocket offense. Mike Shevlin dished off five assists. For the Jaspers, Adam Buccino popped in 17 points and made four steals while Matt Madden and Alec Hooper contributed six points apiece. Tom Anderau grabbed five rebounds.
Deamon Deakins 50, Knicks 28 â Nick Tarantino poured in a division-high 25 points and Tory Deakin added 10 more to lead the Deamon Deakins to the win. CJ Portolese grabbed 12 rebounds while Brian Kuruc (5 assists) and Austin Jones (6 steals) had solid floor games. For the Knicks, Tim Dalton popped in 13 points while Ken Gottshalck, Calvin Song and Alex Nordstrom played well.

Bears 51, Knicks 36 â Alex Roche scored 20 points to lead the Bears past the Knicks. Kevin Phillips, Tom Cassin and Tom Bauer had strong games. For the Knicks, Joe Davis popped in 18 points as Matt Rahtelli and Dave Cartisano had solid floor games.
Bullets 34, Rockets 24 â Christian Barrett scored seven points and Michael Lengel, Patrick Zingaro and Robbie Uhde played well to lead the Bullets. For the Rockets, Mike Greenwood popped in 10 points as John Lebinski, Harrison Snellback and Charlie Feltch had solid efforts.
Bullets 34, Raptors 24 â Robbie Uhde and Colin Moller scored six points apiece to lift the Bullets past the Raptors. Myles LoBuglio, Sam Langdon and Christian Barrett played well. For the Raptors, Chad Magoulas popped in six points while Rob Hughes, Harrison Buzzi and Don Morrissey put forth good performances.
Panthers 34, Raptors 24 â Keegan Lombard canned 15 points as the Panthers roared past the Raptors. Tyler Gibney, Travis Szalay and Dan Bethke played well. For the Raptors, Chad Magoulas dropped in six points as Nick Sajovic, Sean Decker and Don Morrissey had good games.
Thunder 43, Nighthawks 22 â Ryan Dunnigan canned 12 points and Justin Cherry added nine more to lead the Thunder to their fourth win in a row. Ben Stoller, JP Kitzmiller and Kaleb Rowe all played well. For the âHawks, Trevor Carey had 10 points as John Corsi, Greg Horne and Jack Kearney had nice games.
Regulators 37, Spurs 34 â Michael Lord popped in 11 points to lead the Regulators past the Spurs. Matt Vavrek, Thomas Stewart and Chase Hutchison played well. For the Spurs, Colin Morris scored 10 points as Charlie Helgren, Phil Reynolds and Ryan LeMay had nice floor games.
Blazing Warriors 43, Vipers 26 â Colin Cooper poured in 18 points as the Warriors blazed their way to the win. Yossi Kohrman, Michael Daubert and Eric Song played well. For the Vipers, Jeff Grasso popped in 14 points while Scott Runkle, Tom Primavera and Mac Morlock played well.
Grizzlies 51, Hurricanes 39 â Jake Enriquez poured in a division-high 25 points and Justin DeVellis added 18 more to power the Grizzlies. Austin Ryder, Justin Germak and Josh Villa all had solid performances. For the âCanes, Chris Tenney canned 13 points while Evan Swain and Mike LoBosco played well.

Olivia Phenix had an excellent all-around game while Kelly OâSullivan and Grace Winans provided effective defense. For the Angels, Nicole Davis had five points while Christina Caporale, Jillian Moller and Erin Bell (8 rebounds) played well.

Yellowjackets 36, Blue Devils 22 â Robert Linden scored 12 points and Matt White added 10 more to lead the Yellowjackets to the win. Sam Boland and Matt Rosa played well. For the Devils, Nick Klein, Trey DeWald and Chris George all had strong games.
Runninâ Raiders 33, Knicks 32 â Drew Tarantino poured in 21 points as the Raiders slipped past the Knicks. Brendan Peterson, Alex Weber and Logan Puleri played well. For the Knicks, Virgil Procaccini dropped in 16 points while Wes Morlock, Ryan Durr and Grant Larnerd played well.
Celtics 21, Cavaliers 18 â Alex Romeo scored six points while Mike Davis, Justin Weiner and Matt Barra helped lead the Celtics past the Cavaliers. For the Cavs, Jack Lago dropped in six points while Matt Lindell, Patrick Afriyie and Austin Babyak had solid floor games.
Huskies 37, Nighthawks 36 â Jim Parker poured in a division- and weekend-high 27 points to lead the Huskies past the Nighthawks. Brian Arnold and Conor Anderson played well. For the âHawks, Conor Gallagher canned 17 points as Daniel Spillane, Ty Runkle and Matt Janco played well.
