Openings For Trumpets In Marching Band

DANBURY — The Sons of Portugal Marching Band is recruiting trumpet players with at least four years experience for its senior band.

The band is sponsored by the Portuguese Cultural Center and performs in parades and concerts throughout the year, where they play a wide range of music from current American standards to Portuguese marches.

Rehearsals are Sunday mornings from 10 until noon in the band room at the Portuguese Cultural Center, 65 Sandpit Road in Danbury.

Members of the band are provided with uniforms free of charge and bus transportation is provided from the center to events out of the local area.
