DANBURY — How women can manage migraine headaches, new treatments for colon cancer, understanding depression, and answers to infertility will be discussed by doctors and experts from Danbury Hospital at Medical Town Meetings during March.

The meetings are held at 7 pm at the hospital to help educate the community on ways to prevent disease, limit risk factors, and take better care of their health.

On March 9, Diane Wirz, MD, department of medicine, section of neurology, will discuss how migraine headaches affect women. Women have special health concerns, and migraine headaches are no exception. Approximately 28 million Americans cope with headaches. Dr Wirz will discuss treatment options, as well as causes.

On March 14, Joseph Fiorito, MD, department of medicine, chief of the section of gastroenterology, will joins Stuart Bussell, MD, department of surgery, section of general surgery, to address what is happening in the diagnosis and treatment of colon cancer.
