Lloyd G. LaBagh, 87, husband of Anna (Cain) LaBagh of Nunnawauk Meadows, Newtown, died on February 18 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr LaBach was born in Allentown, Penn., on August 7, 1918, a son of Lloyd J. and Victoria (Soderberg) LaBagh. He was a raised and educated in Liberty, N.Y., and was a graduate of Liberty High School.
Mr LaBagh was a longtime resident of Fairlawn, N.J., and was employed as a mechanical draftsman for Fairbanks Morse and the Curtiss Wright Company until his retirement in 1983. He also lived in Franklin Lakes, N.J., for a period of time before moving to Newtown. He enjoyed solving puzzles and woodworking. He seldom turned down the chance to help anyone who had a problem.
In addition to his wife, Mr LaBagh is survived by a daughter, Victoria Hensel of Sandy Hook; a son, Thomas R. LaBagh of Tacoma, Wash.; grandsons James T. Hensel of Newtown, Michael S. Hensel of Danbury, and Damion V. LaBagh of Holland; and a great-granddaughter, Faith Marguerite Hensel.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on February 22 in St Peterâs Church, Liberty, N.Y. Interment followed in St Peterâs Cemetery.
