Irish Music At Meeting House, March 2

Irish music will return to Newtown Meeting House when The Shamrock Traditional Irish Music Society sponsors a concert on Thursday, March 2, at 7:30 pm.

That evening, the meeting house, at 31 Main Street (Route 35), will be host to an evening of Irish traditional music featuring the duo of Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill.

Widely hailed as the greatest fiddler of his era, Mr Hayes is a six -time All Ireland Champion and the one of the greatest exponents of the lyrical, romantic style of his native County Clare.

Also considered among the finest in his field, Mr Cahill is widely regarded for his impeccable and innovative guitar accompaniment.

Tickets are $20 for adults and only $5 for children. Concerts at the meeting house have typically been sold out, so reservations are strongly suggested.
