Jean Falconer (Perrin) Adams, 93, of 2823 Ashley Arbor, Fort Mill, S.C., died on February 20 at Mercy Hospital South in Pineville, N.C.
She was the step-mother of John Adams of Newtown.
Daughter of the late Howell Corby and Mae (Kerr) Perrin, Mrs Adams was born December 21, 1906, in Larchmont, N.Y. Mrs Adams was twice widowed by the late Ralph Brundage and Frederick Adams.
A long time resident in Fairfield, Mrs Adams was the former co-owner of Brundage Jewelry Store. She was also a bookkeeper for the Patterson Country Club in Fairfield. She was very active in her community, having served as a volunteer at the Carlton Rehabilitation Center, was an active representative of the Republican party, and was one of the first Girl Scout troop leaders. She was a longtime member of St Paulâs Episcopal Church of Fairfield, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Eastern Star of Norwalk. In 1994 she moved to Heritage USA in Fort Mill, S.C., where she resided with her daughter.
Mrs Adams is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara J.B. and Robert G. Zanesky, of Fort Mill, S.C.; a son, Ralph John Brundage, Jr, of Boyton Beach, Fla.; a step-child, Ann Corey of Branford; a sister, Barbara Chappel of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, Mrs Adams was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Karen Jean Zanesky; and two brothers, John Kerr Perrin and George Howell Perrin.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10:30 am, Saturday, February 26, at Lesko Funeral Home in Fairfield Center, Fairfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, February 26, at the Lesko Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Following the committal service, there will be a reception at the Parkway Assembly of God Church in Norwalk.
