Incest Survivors Support Group
Incest Survivors Support Group
DANBURY â Registration is now being accepted for a co-educational Incest Survivors Support conducted by the Womenâs Center of Greater Danbury. The group will meet for 12 continuous weeks beginning in early spring.
The group, facilitated by a male and female counselor, provides a safe, supportive environment where incest and adult survivors of child sexual assault explore and share their experiences, learn from others and continue to grow and heal.
Screening for the free and confidential group is necessary. Call the Womenâs Center office at 731-5200 or the sexual assault hotline at 731-5204.
The Middle Gate School district was so named because the land held the middle of three tollgates on the Newtown-Bridgeport Turnpike. The area was originally referred to as Bear Hill.
The first burying ground established for the community of Newtown was voted into place on March 24, 1711. One and a half acres in a lower part of the community was set aside; this section remains part of Newtown Village Cemetery, on Elm Drive.
