Friends of Newtown Seniors (FONS) has announced details for February’s Roundtable and Social, two regular events hosted by the organization. Residents of all ages are invited to enjoy either or both.

FONS Roundtables are monthly discussions around senior life in Newtown and are moderated by FONS Board Member Ned Simpson. Events are at Newtown Senior Center, 8 Simpson Street.

This month’s roundtable is scheduled for Tuesday, February 25, beginning at 3:30 pm. This month’s topic will be traffic in town.

The FONS February Social is scheduled for the following afternoon — Wednesday, February 26 — at 4 pm, at My Place Restaurant, 8 Queen Street, Newtown.

Reservations are required to attend and can be made by contacting Janice Garten at 203-304-9196. Checks will be the responsibility of each guest. Contact Garten for additional information.

Friends of Newtown Seniors Inc is an all-volunteer nonprofit group dedicated to helping the Newtown community address issues that affect the lives and well-being of seniors.
