At The Library
C.H. Booth Library will host Drop-In Chess for players of all ages and skills on Saturday, March 15, from 1 to 5 pm.
Sets and boards will be provided. The session be hosted by Sandy Hook resident and US Chess Federation expert Glenn Budzinski.
Sometimes called Western Chess or International Chess to distinguish it from predecessors and other variants, the current form of the game emerged in southern Europe during the late 15th Century, evolving from Indian or Persian origin. Today chess is one of the worldâs most popular games, played by millions of people around the world.
