The University of Delaware has announced its 2007 fall semester Dean’s List. Newtown residents who earned Dean’s List honors are Adam Gregory Konneker, a senior mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering; and Julie Cynthia Landin, a freshman accounting major and finance major in the College of Business and Economics. Sandy Hook residents named to Dean’s List were Samantha Michelle Friedman, a junior who is majoring in communications in the College of Arts and Sciences; and Angela Ker-an Gan, a sophomore music education-general/choral major, also in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Juniata College in Huntingdon, Penn., has named 322 students to the dean’s list for the 2007 fall semester. Among those honored was Megan Rogers of Sandy Hook, the daughter of Robert and Linda Rogers. Megan is a junior studying early childhood education and special education. She is a 2006 graduate of Newtown High School.

Botsford resident Gary A. Marinelli, a student at Northeastern University in Boston, has been named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2007 semester. Also named for the same semester were Newtown residents Michael J. Pankowski, a marketing major; Rachel L. Berliner, a physical therapy major; and David K. Freeston, a music major.

Newtown residents Anthony S. Carlisle and Matthew R. Myslewski and Sandy Hook resident John D. Kostecki have all been named to the fall 2007 semester at Easter Connecticut State University in Willimantic.

Erin Clark, daughter of Pat and Bill Clark of Newtown, is a recipient of the Dean’s Award for academic excellence during the fall 2007 semester at Colgate University, in Hamilton, N.Y., where she is a member of the Class of 2010. A 2006 graduate of Newtown High School, Erin is concentrating in Spanish and sociology at Colgate.

Erin was also recognized in The Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as a member of The Raider’s Division I Field Hockey Team.
