Gary Wayne Clark, Sr, 66, of Newington, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2025.

He was born in Newtown on September 22, 1958, a son of Ralph Irving Clark and Louise (Norton) Gudim.

He was a 1977 graduate of Newtown High School. Gary worked for many years as a maintenance technician for Praxair Surface Technologies. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was fishing, boating, and camping, or riding his Harley. Gary will be remembered as a great guy, who was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

Gary is survived by his loving partner of 29 years, Lisa Mangiafico; his sons Gary, Jr, (Kristen), Jason, and Eric Clark; and grandchildren Olivia and Xander; brothers Lee, Harold (Caren), and Bruce Clark of Newtown; sister Elaine Dunton (Rich); brother Jeff Gudim (Stacy); and many nieces and nephews including Ryan and Stephen Clark of Newtown.

He is also survived by Lisa’s family: Jenny Mangiafico; Sebastian Mangiafico (fiancé Melaney Bacchiochi); and Dominic and Dante Mangiafico. Gary will be missed by many extended family members and close friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, and his brother Ralph Clark, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Gary’s family on Friday, February 21, from 9 to 11 am at Duksa Family Funeral Home at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Avenue in Newington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am in St Mary’s Church, 626 Willard Avenue in Newington.

He will be laid to rest in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
