Where Is U-Verse When We Need It?

To the Editor:

Let me add my voice to chorus calling for competition to Charter. AT&T, where is the promised U-Verse? Perhaps if the selectmen had not pursued the old battery issue for such a long time we would have U-Verse now?

Even if a Charter customer should decide to stay with this now-bankrupt company, it has been proven that whenever phone company fiber competition for TV reception comes into an area the cable company reduces rates.

So, town officials, how about being proactive and go reengage AT&T?
