Newtown’s Baggett Seventh In New England

Newtown’s Judd Baggett, a member of the Waterbury-based Chase Collegiate School’s wrestling team, placed seventh in the Western New England Independent School Tournament in the 152-pound weight class at this past weekend’s tourney at Taft School in Watertown. Chase finished 11th overall as a team among 20 participating schools who battled it out on the mats February 13 and 14.“It was just fantastic to see the team come out and put together two very good days of wrestling,” Chase Coach Bill Bianchi said.
