Keep Your Ticker Ticking

DERBY — On Thursday, February 26, at 4:45 pm, the Integrative Medicine Center at Griffin Hospital will present “Heart Disease Causes and Prevention — Keep your Ticker Healthy!” Learn about the causes of heart disease and what individuals can do to prevent heart disease, heart attack, or stroke.

The public is invited to come with questions to this important discussion featuring naturopathic resident, Dr Ryan A. McNally.

Dr McNally graduated in 2008 from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Ariz. He is licensed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where he graduated with a degree in biology.

He recently completed an internship with the World Food Programme in the division of HIV Policy and Programming. Dr McNally is a first-year integrative medicine resident at Griffin Hospital and the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine, and serves as a research assistant at the Yale-Griffin Prevention Research Center.

The Integrative Medicine Center (IMC) at Griffin Hospital holds free monthly “Fireside Chats” on subjects related to integrative health care. The chats are conducted by the IMC clinicians and held at the IMC, which is housed in the Center for Cancer Care at 350 Seymour Avenue.
