Performer of the Week . . .

 

One week after being disappointed in the finals of the South-West Conference Wrestling Tournament finals (a 7-4 loss to Matt Palermo of Bethel), Steve Selezan rose up and not only claimed the CIAC Class L 160-pound championship (pinning Mike LaRoche of Berlin) but was also named Most Outstanding Wrestler. Selezan will be on his way to the CIAC State Open Tournament this weekend and then – possibly – on to the New England Tournament.
