NORTH HAVEN 8, NEWTOWN 3: The Vipers held onto the tiger’s tail, with the North Haven U-12’s, but only until the start of the second half. Paul Andras scored the lone goal, for Newtown, in the first half, tying North Haven at 1-1. North Haven’s second goal came only 50 seconds into the second half and even though Anthony Florez netted two more Newtown goals, the North Haven offense was let loose. Quick, precise ball movement and fantastic team play by North Haven frustrated the Vipers and although Alex Bowen gave a valiant effort minding the net, North Haven went on to score six more. Aaron Fay gave the Vipers tireless minutes both offensively and defensively. Kevin Davies and Ethan Canfield continuously fought the North Haven offense but North Haven attacked with confidence and out netted the Vipers, 8-3.
