Not Apples To Apples

To the Editor:

I agree 100 percent with your editorial in the February 16 issue of The Bee. For the first selectman and the legislative council to put the Fairfield Hills and the 5/6 school bond vote as a single item is out of the question.

Council Chairman Rochman states that we are not comparing “apples to apples.” That is just the point. The town has a good deal of information about the proposed 5/6 school, but has almost zero information about the purchase of Fairfield Hills. What are you hiding, Mr Rosenthal?

If the first selectman and the legislative council insist on combining these two bond issues, I for one will vote No! If the taxpayers want a new 5/6 school, they better start raising hell with Mr Rosenthal and the legislative council.
