Audrey (Burr) Hydar, 80, an 18-year resident of Woodbury and formerly a 15-year resident of Newtown, died February 12 at the Torrington Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 26, 1935, in Piscataway, N.J., the daughter of the late Margaret E. and Harry Burr.www.horseofct.org.www.munsonloveterefuneralhome.com.

Mrs Hydar raised her family in Newtown. She worked as a CNA for numerous years at River Glen in Southbury.

She loved her family, and loved to go on bus trips with friends. She loved gardening, country line dancing, knitting, sewing, ceramics, and watching WWE wrestling, as well as NASCAR racing. Mrs Hydar also showed a love for all animals, but was especially fond of horses.

She leaves behind two daughters, Debra Perry of Torrington and Alison Gracy, and her husband Scott, of Thomaston; a son, Fred Hydar, Jr, and his wife Shelley, of Woodbury; six grandchildren, Christina Brague, Jill Perry, Richard and Heather Gracy, and Rebecca and Travis Hydar; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will take place at a future date.
