Dear Brother, Father, Grandfather, Uncle

And Great-Uncle

Anthony D’Ambrosio, 79, died February 12, in Pope John Paul II Care and Rehabilitation Center, Danbury. He was born in New York City, January 22, 1932.

In addition to his sister, Mary T. Vitarbo of Newtown, survivors include his children; grandchildren; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.   

 Mr D’Ambrosio was a Korean War Veteran and earned the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, and the United Nations Service Medal.

He was a longtime machine operator in the embroidery industry, and was also a doorman for private residences in New York City.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, February 16. Interment with Military Honors was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. Funeral arrangements were in care of the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
