Winter Wilderness

Two-Day Program

NEW FAIRFIELD — For those off from school, Great Hollow Wilderness School is offering a two-day program, “Winter Wilderness Days,” on Monday, February 21, and Tuesday, February 22, from 9 am to 3 pm.

Great Hollow’s experienced instructors will lead participants in an exploration of the fields, forests, and wetlands of Great Hollow, including tracking animals and learning about their habitats. Winter Wilderness is also a time to practice survival skills such as fire building, outdoor cooking, and winter shelter building.

Storytelling and games will be added to the journey through the landscape and into the winter wilderness.

The program is for students ages 9 to 12 years. The fee is $100 for both days.
