Vacation Day Harry Potter Program Planned

BETHEL — Now that J.K. Rowling has announced the publication date of July 16 for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, readers are already trying to predict what will happen during the sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Bethel Public Library is planning a special Vacation Day program from noon to 1:30 on Monday, February 21, at the library’s temporary location at 137 Greenwood Avenue.

Students in grades 6 through 10 are encouraged to attend. The discussion will concern what the young readers think might happen in Rowling’s next release.

Pizza and soda will be served.

Registration is required.

All programs sponsored by the library are free, open to the public, and meet accessibility requirements for the disabled. Those needing special accommodations should contact the library as soon as possible to make arrangements.

For more information or to register, contact children’s librarian Amy Schumann at 794-8756, extension 0.
