Laura Giesen and James Haskin

James and JoAnn Giesen of 34 The Boulevard announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Eileen Giesen of Midlothian, Va., to James Russell Haskin, also of Midlothian, son of Lawrence Haskin and the late Joan Haskin.

Ms Giesen is a 1996 graduate of Newtown High School and received her bachelor of science from the University of Richmond in 2000 and from the Virginia Commonwealth University in 2003. She received her master of science in 2004 from the Virginia Commonwealth University.

Mr Haskin graduated from Portsmouth High School, Class of 1995, and the University of Richmond in 1999. He is a graduate of the MBA program at the Virginia Commonwealth University.

Ms Giesen is employed as a nurse practitioner at the Medical College of Virginia Hospital. Mr Haskin is a marketing analyst for Ridefinders.

A May 14 wedding is planned in Corolla, N.C.
