Comfy Quilts Sew-In

DANBURY — The Danbury chapter of The American Sewing Guild is planning a community service project, “Comfy Quilts,” where member and non-member sewers will make lap quilts for cancer patients in area hospitals.

The event will be at Southbury Public Library, 561 Main Street South, on Saturday, February 26, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Anyone wishing to donate fabric, cut or sew the quilt tops before the project should contact Ruth Cote. She can be reached at 746-5237.

Those planning to join the group will need to bring their own sewing machine or serger, neutral thread, basic sewing supplies, and lunch.
