Art For Children’s Aid

MONROE — On Tuesday and Wednesday, February 22-23, All About Art! in Monroe will be running a fundraiser to help some of the youngest victims of the December tsunamis in southeast Asia.

From 10 am to 2 pm, during the breaks between classes, mugs will be available for the public to paint. Parents of students and the public are welcome. After they are painted, the mugs will be filled with toiletry items, wrapped in a T-shirt, and then boxed and mailed to children of the tsunamis.

Jill Holmes, the president and director of All About Art!, is asking for a $15 donation to cover the cost of the toiletry items, T-shirts and shipping. She will be supplying the mugs and painting supplies.
