The Learning Experience Open House Event To Highlight New Program

The Learning Experienced (TLE), 274 South Main Street, announced this week it will conduct an open house to highlight a new program at the child care center.

“With all of the unknowns regarding recent talk in the news about half-day and full-day kindergarten possibilities for September 2012, we decided to introduce a new Before and After School Program for children ages kindergarten through fourth grade,” said TLE owner and operator Danielle Van Riper.

The program will offer parents an opportunity, Ms Van Riper said, to secure and finalize schedules for the fall.

Ms Van Riper also said Middle Gate Principal Chris Geissler has been working with TLE to promote the Before and After School Program, and said the school district will provide transportation for the children in the program to and from Middle Gate.

“Activities would include homework help, chess club, arts and craft activates, and more,” said Ms Van Riper.

The Before and After School Program will be offered to elementary school aged children, according to Ms Van Riper.

“We have had a huge demand for this type of care and we are finally introducing it to the public at an open house event on Saturday, March 10,” Ms Van Riper said.

The open house is scheduled to run from noon to 3 pm.

Families, Ms Van Riper said, are encouraged to bring children to the open house. Face painting and playtime will be offered to children during the event.

“We will be offering a special promotion for the day of the event only. Families who enroll the day of the event will receive a credit of $100 toward their second month’s tuition,” said Ms Van Riper.
