DANBURY â On Sunday, February 26, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Danbury will feature a program on capital punishment within its services at 9 and 11 am. UUCD meets at 24 Clapboard Ridge Road (Route 39).
The guest speaker will be Dr George Kain, an associate professor in the Division of Justice and Law Administration at Western Connecticut State University. He will discuss current efforts to abolish the death penalty in Connecticut and describe the prospects for Connecticut to become the 16th state to abolish the death penalty in this session of the legislature.
Dr Kain is also on the board of directors of the Connecticut Network to Abolish the Death Penalty.
Visitors are welcome to attend the program and invited to stay for refreshments.
