PPT Preparation Workshop
 The Newtown Public Schools Advisory Board will host a free workshop for parents and educators interested in learning more about how to prepare for the Planning and Placement Team (PPT) process, which will be presented by the Connecticut Parent Advocacy Center on Wednesday, February 29, from 7 pm to 9 pm, at Newtown High Schoolâs Lecture Hall.

The PPT process is a set of meetings that identifies and determines a studentâs special educational needs. According to an announcement for the event, âParents and professionals are invited to attend this training focusing on preparing for the [PPT] meeting. Participants will learn information on the importance of record-keeping and strategies for creating team relationships and having successful meetings.â

The Connecticut Parent Advocacy Center is a statewide nonprofit organization that aims to inform and support parents of children between the ages of birth and 26 years old with any disability or chronic illness.
