School Board Coffee And Dessert Night Slated

The Board of Education has scheduled a Coffee & Dessert With the Board event for Tuesday, February 28, in the Newtown High School cafetorium, located in the school’s newest addition.

As listed on the board’s website, located off the school district’s website at www.newtown.k12.ct.us, the event will offer community members a chance to share feedback with board members and desserts will be provided by the high school’s culinary department. The February 28 event is set to start at 7:30 pm.

“We, as a board, are committed to listening to the public on issues that are important to you,” said Board of Education Chair Debbie Leidlein this week. “We will answer questions and discuss any topics you would like to know more about. We also welcome feedback as to what we have done so far.”
