Real Progress
Real Progress
To the Editor:
Some real progress was made last night by the Board of Education at its meeting. The members discussions on setting a realistic timeline, researching options in more detail, and looking to some other town boards and the Fairfield Hills Authority for information, are all necessities to addressing the high school space needs issue competently and thoroughly. We also commend the other town leaders who have been a part of this process to date and hope that they will continue to participate.
This work is all positive and we enthusiastically support and encourage it. We look forward to its continuation on March 7 and all subsequent meetings.
Another important step is to regularly inform the public as ideas are given their due process: letâs remember that an informed public is a more active public and, ultimately, a more supportive public. This step is imperative as we all work toward a solution that meets many important and competing needs for our resources.
Looking forward to more good work,
