Occupation: I have just started a new company. I’m the creative director of a promotion marketing company in Stamford named Xinc. We do in-store promotions, online marketing, and event marketing. I’m also opening a restaurant with some other investors in White Plains, called The Neat Burrito. We’re hoping for a June opening.

Family: My wife, Joanne, and my daughters, Haley, who is 15, and Madeline. She is 12. Our son Tiernan is 6.

Pets: We have a dog, a yellow lab, named Henry. We think Henry is 9 years old. And we have a goldfish.

How long have you been in Newtown? We have been here about 11 years.

What do you like to do in your free time? I like photography and I like to spend time with my kids. I coach Tiernan’s soccer team now and I coached the girls’ teams when they were younger. I play basketball and I’m on the vintage baseball team, The Sandy Hooks. When Joanne finds a great book, she passes it on to me and I fit it in. I read Dan Cruson’s books whenever I have time. I love Newtown history.

Do you have a favorite movie? I’m a fan of director Terry Gillian. On of my favorite movies of his is Brazil. I’m an art director by trade and the art directing was phenomenal.

Do you have a favorite actor? My brother, Brian Keane. He has been in dozens of episodes of Law & Order and in a lot of Broadway shows. He was the lead opposite Uma Thurman in The Misanthropes.

Where do you like to vacation? Ireland is my favorite place. Both of my parents are from there, so I have a strong connection. I still have lots of relatives there. It’s a beautiful place. I like to go to the islands, too, like St John’s, for somewhere warm.

What is the best thing about Newtown? Lots of things. I love the luminarias at Christmas, the hot air balloons over Fairfield Hills. I love the small town feel. I think it’s still here. I sometimes get off Exit 10 just to drive up Main Street to get home, even though Exit 9 is actually closer. I pinch myself that I’m lucky enough to live here.

So you have a favorite Newtown memory? It was our anniversary, and I’m not a real romantic, but I picked up some sushi on the way home and I brought Joanne out to Taunton Lake. It was about 9 at night , it was starry and about 70 degrees. We had a picnic in our canoe on the middle of the lake. It was so quiet and beautiful.

Do you have a personal philosophy? Treat other people as you’d like to be treated. And the obstacles in your life — you can lean into them and realize they are going to be doors into something new and exciting.

What is the most important lesson you have learned? I think, being honest with yourself.
