Breach of Peace
At lunchtime on February 10, at Reed Intermediate School, an 11-year-old girl student allegedly pushed a woman teacher, causing the teacher to strike a railing and injure her hip, police said.
After investigating the incident, police Youth Officer Dana Schubert charged the girl with breach of peace. The girl is scheduled to appear in Danbury Juvenile Court on February 27 to answer the charge.
Tiles Taken
Sometime between February 11 and February 13, someone stole 12 boxes of tile from an area outdoors near the back door of Universal Tile and Marble at 103 South Main Street, police report. The stolen tiles have an unspecified value. Police are investigating and ask anyone with information on the matter to contact them at 426-5841.
Chevrolet Into Ledge
While traveling southward on Hattertown Road, south of its intersection with Castle Meadow Road, at about 11:27 pm February 11, motorist Michael Aguis, 19, of 140 Hattertown Road, who was driving a 2004 Chevrolet station wagon, lost control in the snowy conditions and went off the right side of the road, striking some rock ledge, police report.
Aguis was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Nissan Vs Honda
At about 6:56 pm February 14, motorist Gaetan Lariviere, 61, of 222 Berkshire Road was driving a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder southward on South Main Street, police said.
At that time, motorist Partha Choudhury, 39, of Danbury was driving a 1996 Honda Accord northward, police said.
The Nissan then turned left in seeking to enter a driveway at 43 South Main Street, but collided with the oncoming Honda, police said.
There were no injuries. Police issued Lariviere an infraction ticket for failure to grant the right of way.
