Another Successful

Scholarship Ball

To the Editor:

I would like to extend a thank you to all the people who attended the 69th Annual Scholarship Ball held at the Waterview on February 4. Their participation and donations help the graduates of Newtown High School receiving scholarships to further their education. Throughout the 69 years of existence, the Newtown Scholarship Association has helped thousands of students with scholarships totaling nearly $3.5 million.

Newtown’s Rosie Destories of Fairfield Auction Company and her daughter Zoe conducted the live auction during the evening. She was very successful in keeping our auction event lively and exciting.

Sincere thanks to the donors of items for our silent and live auction, including Mike Kerler of Sandy Hook Wine and Liquor, Craig Jewelers, Chartwells, Mark W. Valenti, Taco Loco and John Voket of 99Dollar DJ, Addessi Jewelers, Dunham Smith, Bruce Deegan, Sherri and Scott Baggett, Don Droppo, Sr, of Curtis Packaging, Jane and John Vouros, Mark Fries, Betty Lou Osborne, Trevor Shaw, George and Shane Miller, Nancy Bamberg Fine Catering, Newtown Limousine Service, Paul Meisel, Terri-Ann and John Martocci, Susan and Brian White, Friends of the Newtown Scholarship Association, Little Green Barn, Bridgewater Chocolates, James T. Morley, Michele Rosenthal, and H&A Clarke.

Thanks for pulling together a wonderful evening.

Sincerely,

Sherri S. Baggett
