Occupation: I've been a cashier at a supermarket since 2016. I have a lot of things I want to be when I grow up, so it's tough to decide. Right now I'm taking a class at Naugatuck Valley on how to sterilize utensils from hospitals.

Family: I have good parents. My mom works at the Kennedy Center, and my dad is an electrical engineer. My two older siblings are nice. The oldest is my brother, who just got married. My sister is very talented with computers and always has a smile on her face.

Pets: My first cat, Bonnie, was very important to me. She was given to my family by friends when I was in preschool. She was a good friend of mine, and we did everything together. We later adopted two kittens, Mandy and Noah.

How long have you lived in Newtown? Twenty-one years. I've lived in Connecticut my whole life. I was born in Vernon and later lived with my family in Fairfield with my grandparents.

What do you like to do in your free time? I like to sit alone and think. I find that it helps gather my thoughts.

Do you have a favorite book? I've always liked A Wrinkle In Time. I think the concept is really cool, and I'm so excited for the movie coming out. Also, I loved the Series of Unfortunate Events books.

What is your favorite travel destination? I've realized that places I go with good company always seem better. If I had to choose, maybe going to historical homes like the Matthew Curtiss House.

What is the best part about Newtown? The C.H. Booth Library. I love that library. Doing research papers throughout school, I always liked going there. I enjoy looking at the bulletin boards and reading the newspapers.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? There have been so many people who have influenced me, but I'd have to say my parents and siblings. They love me unconditionally and they never gave up on me.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? My boyfriend, Austin. I might be biased, but he is the best and nicest boyfriend ever. Every day with him is like a vacation. It's amazing.

Who is your favorite musical artist? I tend to gravitate toward heavy metal, and I love System of a Down.

Do you have a favorite TV show? I love to laugh, so I like funny shows. Also, when I had cable I loved to watch all the shows on Bob's BurgersAnimal Planet..

What is your favorite food? I eat mac and cheese a lot for dinner, but I also love seafood.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? There was a lady who came to my register recently, and we were talking about how to not get stuck in life. She told me to write down a list of my goals and said that her husband and she have been doing that and are having so much fun because of it. That very night I followed her instructions, and my boyfriend Austin and I made a list together. Two of the things on the list that we are looking forward to doing are finishing the Kingdom Hearts video game series and writing a story together.
