Police report motorist Jennifer Memoli, 22, of 42 Mohawk Trail, Cedarhurst, was driving a Subaru Forester westbound on Church Hill Road about 10:46 am February 15 when she drove through a red traffic signal at the intersection of Church Hill Road and Queen Street.
Police stopped Memoli on Church Hill Road and investigated, finding that she was driving with a suspended license.
Police said they charged Memoli with failure to obey a traffic control signal and operating a motor vehicle while under suspension. After processing, police released Memoli on a written promise to appear March 15 in Danbury Superior Court to answer the charges.
Hawleyville DUI
Police said they responded to a report of a one-vehicle accident about 10:38 pm February 15 on Mt Pleasant Road in Hawleyville.
Police said they found a 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck on the lawn of 142 Mt Pleasant Road and found the truckâs driver, Joel S. Dillon, 35, of 4 Teachers Ridge Road, Sandy Hook, at the property of a nearby business. Dillon was uninjured, police said.
Police said Dillon failed field sobriety tests. Police charged Dillon with driving under the influence and failure to obey a stop sign.
After processing, police released Dillon on a promise to appear March 1 in Danbury Superior Court to answer the charges.

Mile Hill DUI
Police report they saw motorist Benjamin Rivera, 24, of Stratford driving erratically on Mile Hill Road on February 15. Police said they stopped Rivera and investigated, charging him with driving under the influence and failure to drive to the right.
After processing, police released Rivera on a promise to appear March 8 in Danbury Superior Court to answer the charges.
Ford Vs Deer
Police report motorist Kurt A. Miller, 17, of 21 Indian Hill Lane, Sandy Hook, was driving a 1994 Ford pickup truck westbound on Route 34 near Sherman Street about 8 pm February 13, when a deer ran into the roadway, resulting in a collision. Miller was not injured, police said.
Van Into Pole
Motorist Amilicar A. Ramirez, 21, of New Haven was driving a 2001 Ford van northbound on South Main Street February 17 when the van went out of control and struck a utility pole along the northbound road shoulder, police said.
Ramirez was not injured, police said. Police issued an infraction ticket for making a restricted turn.

Hawleyville Accident
Police report a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Mt Pleasant Road and Pocono Road about 6 pm February 14.
The collision involved a 1996 Chevrolet van driven by Francis E. Archibald, 41, of Roxbury, and a 1993 Honda Accord driven by Dianne E. Haskett, 51, of Bethel, police said. There were no injuries.
Police issued Archibald a written warning for improper passing.
Passat Crash
State police report motorist Utkarsh H. Patel, 32, of Ridgefield, N.J., was driving a 1995 Volkswagen Passat in the left lane of eastbound Interstate 84 east of Exit 11 about 9:13 pm February 16 when the auto went out of control, went off the left road shoulder and struck several small trees. Patel was not injured, state police said.
Sideswiped
Motorist Hector Alonzo, 23, of Danbury was driving a 1988 Toyota sedan eastbound on Interstate 84 in the right lane about 6:45 pm February 11 when he was sideswiped by a vehicle passing by in the left lane, state police said.
The offending motorist left the accident scene without stopping, state police said. Alonzo was not injured.
Weapon Charge
Police said that while in the Sand Hill Plaza parking lot on South Main Street about 8:30 pm February 19, they noticed that motorist Peter Jasinski, 23, of Shelton was sitting in a vehicle with a portion of a handgun visible beneath the front seat.
Police said they determined the weapon to be a loaded carbon-dioxide-powered BB-pistol.
Police took Jasinski into custody and charged him with possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.
After processing, Jasinski was released on a promise to appear March 1 in Danbury Superior Court.
Marijuana Charge
Police said they received a report on the night of February 20 that a youth was in the vicinity of the intersection of Queen Street and Church Hill Road asking people if they had drugs for sale.
Police said they investigated and charged the 15-year-old youth with possession of marijuana. The youth is scheduled for a February 28 appearance in Danbury Juvenile Court. State law protects the identity of the youth because the person is under 16.

Mt Pleasant Accident
Police report motorist Anthony F. Bezok, 57, of 11 Gelding Hill Road, Sandy Hook, who was driving a town-owned 1999 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck southbound on Mt Pleasant Road about 11:35 am February 13, was making a right turn onto Mt Pleasant Terrace when a southbound 1986 Honda CRX driven by Augustine O. Ekeinde, 19, of Brookfield attempted to pass the pickup truck on the right, but collided with it. Bezok is an assistant town building inspector.
There were no injuries. Police said they issued Ekeinde a misdemeanor summons on charges of passing in a no-passing zone and operating a motor vehicle without automotive insurance.

Alcohol Charge
Police report they saw Patrick Shevlin, 19, of 11 Arlyn Ridge Road sitting in a running motor vehicle in the parking lot of a South Main Street store at 11:59 pm February 20 and stopped to investigate.
Police said they saw an opened, half-full bottle of beer in the vehicle, plus four unopened beer bottles.
Police said they charged Shevlin with possession of alcohol by a minor in a motor vehicle. Shevlin will be the subject of a state Department of Motor Vehicles hearing on the matter, police said. Police said they released Shevlin to the custody of his father.
