*You have two choices for music in the immediate area to kick off this weekend Friday night. At The Inn at Newtown, at 19 Main Street, PETER OBRE will be performing his guitar sets in the restaurant/inn’s Tap Room. A little further down Main Street, at The Fireside Inn, TREBLEHOOK will make its area return. There is no cover to get in to either show.

*A local four-piece band will be performing at 100 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook this weekend. CRB, which plays classic rock n’ roll from the 1960s to the present, will be playing Saturday, February 19, beginning around 9:30 pm.

The band is comprised of Jason Benson on guitar, keyboard, harmonica, drums and vocals; Dean Snellbeck on bass, guitar and vocals; John

White, guitar and vocals; and George Greytak, drums, bass, and vocals. The band has been together for four years and was previously known as FOG. If either name sounds familiar, it could be because these guys have done a number of benefits over the past few years in addition to club dates.

*Also going on locally this weekend is the area return of SOL DOG. The guys will be right over at Classic Rock Brew Pub, the place that’s just off the runway of Danbury Airport at the end of Wibling Road (next to Sports Authority). The band will be at the Brew Pub on Saturday night, and their start time is about 10 pm.

Until next week, I’ll be seeing you... on the road.
